I have studied martial arts since age ten.  In college, I joined the Taekwondo club and, during my sophomore year, I took over the club as a blue belt when the instructor graduated. I traveled once a month to Chicago to take six hours of classes and returned to practice and teach what I had learned. Two years after graduating college, I opened up my first school in Arlington Heights. In the time since, I have worked in the commodities trading business and continued my study of various martial arts.

More recently, I have been coaching children’s basketball and baseball for ten years, including training with fifty of the top pro and college basketball coaches in the USA for 10 years straight.  It’s an invaluable experience to learn how they lead their teams and players.  I have established great relationships with many and learned many lessons from them.

Teaching is giving your experience and knowledge to others, with the object being for your students to become better and wiser than yourself.  In 1987, I joined 200 other instructors at a leadership camp in Korea led by Eternal Grandmaster H.U Lee. Eternal Grandmaster and I became very close and I was honored to train with him one on one.  It was priceless instruction, and something I will never forget.
